Why do you need a plumber to install some home appliances?
Dishwasher installation: You may already have the plumbing in place from an old dishwasher so yes, you can potentially install it yourself. However, it is wise for a plumber to install your new dishwasher – the existing plumbing can be checked that it is still in good order and the connections will be installed correctly (avoiding an unnecessary and damaging leak inside your kitchen cupboard!).
Water connected refrigerator installation: Fridges that have filtered water and ice dispenses require plumbing. We can connect a fridge to and existing waterline or find a solution if the waterline is not near the fridge location.
Water filter / filtration unit installation: These units are generally mounted to your kitchen sink or benchtop and need to be plumbed into your existing waterline.
InSinkErators / garbage disposal unit installation: Food waste disposal units are an environmentally friendly way to dispose of household food waste. They require plumbing to the existing drainage system under your kitchen sink.
Gas appliance installation – stove / cooktop and oven: Connecting a gas appliance is NOT a DIY project! To install gas appliances, a plumber has to be certified In accordance with AS/NZS5601.1:2010 Gas installations, Part 1 General installations. Our certified plumbers can install a new gas system to your home or connect your appliances to the existing gas line therefore, ensuring that they are connected correctly and there are no gas leaks.
Whether it is a stove / cooktop or oven, all gas appliances MUST be installed by a certified gas fitter / plumber!
